IMPORTANT: Calling the Yu-Gi-Oh! Fandom to Action for Dan Green

I know you all haven’t heard from me in a while but I return with an urgent and important message for Yu-Gi-Oh! fans. 

You may or may not have heard by now, but Dan Green—the voice actor behind Yugi and Yami Yugi—recently suffered a very tragic loss. His wife, Michal, passed away on Thanksgiving due to complications from giving birth to their twins. Luckily their children are fine, but the loss is still understandably great.

Family, friends, fellow voice actors, and fans have all banded together in an attempt to support the family. Multiple steps have been taken in an effort to help Dan in his time of need. Family and friends have set up a website for any and all who wish to send their condolences to Dan. The website also includes instructions and links for those who wish to send donations to help support Dan and his children. LittleKuriboh has also set up several charity auctions to help the family via his usual avenue of Card Games for Charity. He has posted a video with information on his channel, CardGamesFTW, which also includes links to all of the auctions. Dan Green is the voice behind one of the key characters that brought Yu-Gi-Oh! to life. Many of us have grown up with the voices he supplies to his various characters, not only in Yu-Gi-Oh! but in other anime as well. The very least that we can do, as a fandom, would be to pray for Dan or send him well wishes (whatever your preference or belief may be). At the most we can contribute to his family and children in their time of need.

Question for those who are interested?

I’ve been scrolling through the blog to double-check that what I have queued so far for the upcoming spam has not already been posted, and I’ve noticed a definite trend in Kaiba related posts….

*ahem*

Anyway, I’ve actually been thinking about starting a sort of sister blog to branch off of FYYGO! that will be a bit of an Eric Stuart tribute blog. It’ll probably focus primarily on Seto Kaiba related art and such, but I kind of thought it might give me a bit of an outlet to do my Kaiba-related fangirl squees without making FYYGO! into a biased blog—it really is supposed to be varied blog, after all, and sometimes I get the feeling I’ve strayed from that.

Anyway, my main reason for posting this little update was to find out if such a blog would even generate interest. I know there are a lot of very high quality Kaiba/Kaiba brothers blogs out there (I follow most of them on my personal, believe me ;D), but I thought I might take a bit of a swing at it from a more varied stand point. 

So if a blog like this would be something you would follow or would at least be interested in, I’d really appreciate it if you’d either reply/answer this post with your feedback, drop some anonymous feedback in the ask box, or at the very least like this post? 

Thanks everybody! And don’t forget, I’m still taking votes for the upcoming spam, so don’t hesitate to drop a message/ask/reply about that as well!

Upcoming Image Spam

Okay, ladies and gents, I’ve had a couple suggestions for the next image spam, but I wanted to give everyone one last reminder about voting. So far, we’ve got people asking to see:

  • Yu-Gi-Oh! inspired Cosplay, Props, and Jewelry
  • Seto Kaiba

And that’s it! So if anyone else has any more suggestions, I’d love to have the input! Also, if you’d like to submit images that you’d want to see in the image spam, I’m open to those as well! Anything submitted will be included in the next spam with full credit to the submitter. :)

So if you’d like to submit, please use the submission box on the FYYGO! page! And if you’d like to put in a request for something you want to see in the spam, please shoot me a message in the Ask Box (anonymous or not!), or make a comment in our Disqus comment boxes. 

Dare I show my face…?

So, it’s been a long time since I’ve done a spam or really made any posts, but I’m hoping to change that soon. I’m looking to do a new spam of some stockpiled images, but at the same time I don’t just want to do stuff that I like….

With that being the case I want you all to give me some input and tell me what you’d like to see! We’ve had a bunch more followers since I last did a spam, so maybe we’ll have some new contributions! You can suggest anything: shipping fanart, character specific fanart, screen captures, whatever you’d like! Even if it’s something I’ve spammed before, I want everyone’s input.

I’ll have a bit of free time the next few days, so every request will be considered and used, no matter what! If you request it, there will be at least a few images per your request thrown into the spam. Think of it as a Pot Luck Party for the rebirth of FYYGO!

PLEASE tell me what you guys want! One of the reasons I stopped spamming was because people stopped voting and I kind of ran out of ideas. ^^; So either submit a suggestion via the ask box (you can be anonymous or not, I do not judge!), you can answer this post, or you can comment in the Disqus comment box (yes, I’m still monitoring these).

Can’t wait to hear from you all, and I can’t wait to start a new spam! :D

Not to mention forcing two people into suicide. Oh, but I guess that’s not common knowledge, huh?

Is it really fair to judge Seto based on what he did before he had to reconfigure the puzzle of his soul? I mean, REALLY?

Even though the fact that he did kinda sorta totally and completely force two to commit suicide is very much legit.
